I have over five years experience as a singing teacher, working with all ages and abilities towards a wide range of goals. From preparing for graded exams and auditions to singing for fun, working on choral repertoire to preparing operatic roles, I have significant experience and I tailor each lesson to meet individual students' needs.

 

I can help you to improve breath control and stamina, extend your range, learn about vocal health, gain confidence and suggest performance opportunities, improve musicality and suggest repertoire that inspires you. Whatever you hope to achieve, let me know and we will work towards it in lessons.

As a professional opera singer, I have performed with companies including English Touring Opera, English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Opera Holland Park. I appear regularly on the concert platform with notable performances including an opera gala with the Xi'an Symphony Orchestra in China and performances of Beethoven's 9th Symphony in the Royal Festival Hall and the Bridgewater Hall. 

 

I trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. I use my professional experience and training to inform my teaching and can offer advice regarding pursuing a career in classical music.

In 2020/21, I undertook a PGCE in Primary Education, gaining valuable experience teaching in a classroom setting. I have worked as a teacher-coach, training primary school teachers in the field of music teaching and I am a co-leader for Intergenerational Opera, taking creative workshops into primary schools throughout East Sussex.

I am a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) and have an Enhanced DBS certificate. I teach singing in Brighton, London (fortnightly) and online.
